buzzing sound from flasher

I have an 02 7.3 psd yesterday it started making a buzzing sound from the flasher. kind of a on and off buzz. I bought a new flasher and that did not help it is almost like someone is turning a switch on and off. The realy weird part is that if I step on the brake pedal it stops or if I use the turn signal it stops.. help if you can
