new fuel filters?
So I went to napa to get fuel filter. I know should use ford filter or something else but anyways it doesn't fit. So I get a wix and it doesn't fit. They seem to have a new design that seal round the post that comes up in the fuel bowl. Does this piece have to come out cause I can't get a filter to go around it and down. So I went to ford and there filter is the same design now and not like the old. What needs to be done cause im getting frustrated.

Well can somebody tell me if the newer style filters are going in there trucks just fine. Guess what I mean by newer is the old napa one I got is all open on bottom compared to the new with the small hole and rubber piece to seal around the post that comes up in fuel bowl.

I just bought napa fuel filters from fleetfilters.com. I didnt have a problem. I did have an issue with the cheaper fuel filters not sealing well.

Napa Gold and Silver filters are made by Wix, and Wix is the only filter I will put in my vehicles. The Wix filters fit just fine, and the fact that the lid is part of the filter is great. The fact that you don't have to worry about hurting the lid when removing the filter is a luxury, and there is a nut formed into the lid too. They work just fine, just remember to install the lower oring to be sure that no contaminates get into your injectors.
