It just blew a bunch of smoke...

I was getting on the highway and was around 13psi boost and it just sputtered and lost all power. Pulled over on the shoulder and shut it down. Got out and checked engine for any fuel/oil coming out and nothing. Went back inside tried to start it and it started but ran rough. Turned back off, checked to make sure fuel is getting to bowl and it was getting fuel. Tried starting again and would not start. I check for blow fuses, checked sensor connections on engine, found nothing wrong. Started looking at my Edge tuner and seen nothing wrong. So I tried setting tuner to stock tune and still nothing, would not start. So I disconnected all the tuners connections to the various sensors, just but it all back stock. Tried starting it again and started right up, no smoke nothing. So the Edge tuner was the problem! Ran fine the rest of the way home but of course seemed stock. Anyone have this problem with their Edge tuner? I reconnected the Edge tuner back up and it ran fine, like nothing never happened. I connected my scanner and it found nothing, no codes.
