To all the Dealership Mechanics.

This is the problem. I have been told by 1 dealer the no they can NOT change my speedometer with there computer.

Got off the phone with another one and they said YES they can. So I am putting it out there to all the handy Dealership Mechanics and others can they reset it or not. I have not been able to find any body else in my local 50 mile driving area to take it to

Why do you want to reset it? did you upgrade to bigger tires or something?

OOPS! Sorry i did not lift it. but there are over sised tires, 285-70 r17 look good but this is the way it came when i bought it.. ... if i am going 65 it reeds 70

The dealer can reset it for anything up to a 35 inch tire from what i have been told. Anything bigger than that they cant. Did you explain to the dealer why you wanted them to do it?

yep the one said no and the had the scan tool hooked up to it.

your truck has to be done with the NGS and the green card...that will mean something to any tech out there that has been around longer than a year or two. You cant do a 2000 7.3 with the IDS they probably tried to use...

i feel you pain i went thru it and gave up and bought a superlift truspeed you probally should too then you can change it yourself now and in the future for any changes you make later i went to 4 dealers all said they could none got it done the last one i even took writen instructions with me on how to do it and they said it cant be done the way i told them "with an ngs the only way it can be done" and they know what theyre doing well guess what they didnt the dealers around me are hard headed unhelpful jacka**es sorry and no offense meant to good ones like marc jon and scuffy there are printable instructions availible on di's web site maybe your dealer will read them and accept that maybe they dont know everything as my dealers seem to .....truspeed and be done with it imo
