I too had the same problems as you but my road went like this:
1. New GPR (stancor)
2. glow plugs verified 100%
3. Replaced both batteries (were different amp rating and different brands)
4. replaced starter
5. went with rotella T6 full synthetic
6. Replaced ICP and IPR.
Finally, my truck starts in 20°F weather after sitting 12 hours in the dark. No problems. The high pressure oil circuit was my problem with the oil not being recieved by the injectors to fully power them. Fuel was probably just dribbling out the injectors until I finally replaced the sticking IPR.
