Make turbo whistle real loud.

Hey guys, new to ford here. Just picked up 7.3 with a garret turbo on there.

I was wondering what I could do to make the turbo whistle a lot louder like all the other fords around here.

I know on the cummins you can take te silencer ring off but I heard fords do not have the ring. Any help?

Foil delete on the IC pipe?

What are you looking for? louder whistle in the cab or out the exhaust?

What i did was custom make 5" exhaust and my turbo screams! I bought a MBRP 4" downpipe and then bought 8 feet of 5" straight pipe and a 45 angle from my local autoparts store and dumped it in front of my rear wheel. I slaped a 6" MBRP tip and thats it.. so basically the shorter the exhaust the louder it will be.

The big question is what are the other Ford's you're comparing it to? A 7.3 will never whistle like a 6.0.

Make turbo whistle real loud.

True that, I've just heard some really whistle super loud, just wanted that areas and the cheapest. I don't want to mod the exhaust because its a full ats.

straight pipe, foil delete, WW or WW2 (havn't herd about sound of gen 2) or gt38R or D66 (if E99) or, or, or any aftermarket turbo mostly...

What this nation needs is cleaner thoughts and dirtier fingernails...

This set up will get you about as loud as they get on a 7.3. If you want 6.0 sound, unfortunately, gotta go with a 6.0.
