to chip or not to chip

recently my pcm went out. currently at shop awaiting replacement to come in. found out my truck was chipped (i'm 2nd owner), now my dilemma, do i rechip the truck or let it stay factory? 99 F250 PSD. 2wd/auto. pulls my car hauler and 5th wheel. i am the poster child for chip ignorance, so please be gentle as i have been studying this website quite a bit to educate myself.
and why can't PSDs be like the older diesels, NO ELECTRONICS? wow, way too many sensors.

I would definitely chip the truck again, they run so much better after there chipped, and by chipped I hope you mean tuner, like TS, F5, F6, Hydra. Theres a lot of different tuners out there so your best bet is to visit there websites and then call the ones you think your interested in and ask them about there tunes, they will be happy to tell you about them. To get you started there's: Beans, Swamps, DP, Powerhungry performance (php), Gearhead, and theres more i just cant remember all of them, heres a link to a bunch of write-ups:Chip comparison and discussion links. - PowerStrokeNation : Ford Powerstroke Diesel Forum

I personally went with Jonathon from Beans and absolutely love his tunes, completely woke my truck up, runs better, shifts better and egts are completely in check and couldnt have asked for better service. any one the tuners are great, it just really depends on whose tunes you feel more comfortable with and who you like working with, everybody has a different opinion on who they like, its just a personal preference. i hope thats good enough to get you started. if youd like more details on my tunes from beans feel free to PM me.
