Transfer case

Any one use Monster Transmission transfer case or where to get a good quality trans case. My chain is really loose, backlash in the planetary gears, bad bearing in tail shaft of main output shaft, and it keeps popping out of low 4.

ive never had to replace mine or havent even heard of to many people doing it, might be hard to find a writeup about it or somebody who knows more about them. Brian from BTS does transmissions so he might be able to steer you in the right direction if you gave him a call. just google brians truck shop. thats about all the help i can give you, good luck.

Re: Transfer case

I was going to call Brian as a last resort only because he is always so busy. I was just trying to get some feelers out there if anyone on here has had experience with a good TC before i call him. I have one of his transmissions so if he does rebuild transfer cases I'm sure they are done right.

Re: Transfer case

Called Brian and said to look for a newer model and just swap input shafts. They are all the same. Just tryin to find one that is manual engagement.

It is always nice to talk to Brian, he is always more than willing to give you more info than you expect to help out
