hutch mod variation?

i am thinking about doing the hutch mod but thought about doing a sump instead. any pros or cons to this? this would take all air out and i would not have to drop the tank. no chance of me screwing up anything on the sending unit.

the only bad thing about a sump is the potential to loose all the fuel if the system is compromised like in an accident ETC

I would also have a means like a full port Ball valve to shut it off for service

My 2 cents Oh I think it's also a DOT violation but does that stop us ?

I use a SS ball valve with a old choke cable going to it which I close when I'm parked away from home. Can't steal something if you can't get fuel to the motor.
