Battery light on!

Well I changed my alternator yesterday, drove it around all afternoon with no problems. Now this morning, I start it and get to about the end of my driveway when my battery light comes on. The higher the engine revs, the weaker the battery light gets even going off at one point, but once it comes back to normal revs it comes on again. The volt meter is reading about 13-14 volts and a dvm on the battery shows 13.5 V. I'm using a NAPA reman alternator. Any thoughts?

Could it be a voltage regulator?
