Emission testings.
I want to get a 4" turbo back exhaust and straight pipe it. Are their any issues with passing Emissions after doing this?

nope you shouldn't have a problem because your 7.3L shouldn't of came with a cat. all you will be removing is the muffler and thats just for sound dampening

This might be major B.S.... but my dad said that there is also a sound limit, i guess that makes sense but my truck without the muff shouldnt be THAT loud would it?

not sure where you live but the sound thing is not B.S. but thats also true about stereos... here in cali it cant be too loud or they will pull you over... but i have never been pulled over and i ROMP mine all the time... but when i see a cop i go slow lol

Yea ive heard about the noise polution laws for music and all that.
So i foud this site ADEQ: Vehicle Emissions: Diesel Vehicles and it says to pass i need to have no more than 20% opacity in my exhaust. so Im just not suposed smoke. Taking off the muffler will not change the amount of smoke correct? oh and my truck didnt come with a cat. |
