7.3 blows white smoke at 1900-2500 RPM and then clears up
Quick question.
The truck belches a thick puff of white smoke if you rev it up real fast from an idle or a little bit above idle. usually around 1900-2500 and then clears up. any idea what be the cause?? |

Would be be possible to have a second person to smell it? Coolant level staying the same? How long was the truck running for?
I would guess coolant or fuel. |

it smells like fuel.

my 05 did that once but it was my turbo leaking oil so it was across the board white "blue" whatever you can tell by smoke color... just an idea . maybe you could check if its at a certain level of boost..
just a thought.. |

i just installed my new down exhuast and the inside of the old downpipe was not wet and my turbo has zero play in it. just needs a new compressor wheel.
