EBPV?

ok, I'm not sure if this is my issue yet, but I thought I would pick some brains while I'm awaiting time to figure it out. While I was re-installing my turbo I re-attached the rod for my ebpv under the turbo. There wasnt any snap ring or jesus clip on it when I took it off so I didnt put one on when I re-installed it. Now tonight I noticed that when I'm was driving it sounds like it is just deciding when it wants to open and close, but when I get on it a little bit it feels like it closes. Is there any way that I can disable this without taking the turbo out again? Can I just pop it off the rod and wire it which ever way I need to? or can I just unplug the plug that is at the bottom of pedistal?
