clutch question????

got a 99 f-250 thinking about putting a clutch in it been reading about the southbend and the centerforce dual friction..

anyone have either one of them tell me what you think?

i would look into Valair... they have been making HD clutches for big rigs for years....now they make them for our trucks

Don't get center force, Their crape trust me. Centerforce is mainly for sports cars. not very good with diesel engine's torgue

just order a south bend con-OFE acouple days ago

99 f350 reg cab 4x4 zf6 speed stock for now

I have a South bend 550 HP clutch in mine and I love it. The pedal is a softer and I've only spun it once. Once was a 3rd gear hole shot. It spun but the 2nd I let out it grabbed.

Also as Raul said check out Valair, they are good clutches for less money that SB. South bend is very proud of their clutches I will say but I haven't had any problems either.

i have the same 550hp sb clutch as ford_trck and it hasn't slipped yet i love it no problem's at all and nice soft pedal

I have the valair ceramic clutch, Raul has it listed as NMU70241-06 500HP / 1000 ft lbs Torque. Good clutch in my book and it has been tested......a lot. Its towed a dump truck full of asphalt out of a ditch and up a hill, tons of asphalt equipment, other trucks and a full size bronco thru the mountains in east tennessee and has never once slipped. I would buy another Valair in a heartbeat.
