tired and frustrated...need some objective minds to get me back on the path
I have been working on my 7.3l for a while and feel like i am chasing my tail and trying to avoid just throwing money at it. I just used my snap-on and pulled these codes. I had reset the computer codes about 100 miles after installing the injectors. I am at about 1000 miles after replacing the injectors. Truck has 204K miles.
Codes in memory P1119- manifold air temp snsr P0541- code definition not available After contribution test P0269 Cyl 3 contribution/balance fault P0541- code definition not available After buzz test P1298- IDM fault ====================================== recent changes within the last 10000 miles replaced all 8 injectors with remans replaced glow plugs replaced valve cover gaskets and harnesses under valve covers replaced fuel pump replaced water pump replaced starter replaced alternator replaced CPS(grey) replaced the o-rings on the turbo stuff mods/upgrades to the engine stuff Regulated return system removed the cold air heater in the intercooler spider replaced all the boots on the spider aftermarket air filter symptoms truck is smoking...started smoking after injector change...never smoked before. |

all that was done, could be residual in the cylinders burning off. Have you tried running her, get'n it warm and seeing ifit clears up. Takes awhile for air to relieve itself from the fuel and oil...50-100 miles.
I'd think the #3 is because of the grey cps. |
