Questions on F450 and F550 frames

I'm gathering parts and info for my old school crewcab project. I'm looking at a 2000 f450 4x4 7.3 6sp for parts. It had a cab fire and the motor and cab is totally gone. I also have a 2000 f550 2x4 7.3 auto rolling chassis with air ride on the rear. I know that the 450 has the D80 and the 550 has the S135, both have 488 gears. What I'm thinking of doing is using the 550 frame, auto and rear axle with the air ride and combine it with the front axle, driveshaft, and t-case from the 450

Questions:

1. are the 4x4 and 2x4 frames the same so I can just put the 4x4 front axle under the 2x4 550 frame??? Will it bolt up to the front spring perches??

2. do they use the same t-case on the auto and the 6sp so I can use the t-case on the auto trans???

3. is there a difference between the 2x and 4x 4r100 trans besides the extension housing so I could use the 2x trans I have????

4. is the final drive ratio the same on the 2x and the 4x, does the t-case have any effect on the final ratio???

Thanks in advance for any help,Ron

Stay tuned for more questions and updates
