Diesel vs gas cab interchangeability

Does anyone here know besides the obvious wiring/dash clusters is there any difference between superduty's cab whether it is gas or diesel. My buddies 2002 truck was taken out by an excavater today. Trashed the door, cab, fender and hood. He had planned to replace the cab before this happened since this truck has spent it's entire life in ne Ohio. The underside of the cab is shot. Another friend is going to Arizona in a couple weeks and will be finding and bringing back a donor truck. We just need to verify that a 5.4 truck cab and front clip will work on the powerstroke truck as they are cheap and plentiful and clean out there. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know the cabs, grilles, beds are the same.
Of course, like you said, wiring/dash, trans, and diffs will be different.
