Trying to make a 7.3 quicker

Hello guys , I am new on turbo diesel stuff ,
My ride is a 2002 f350 of course 7.3turbo ,
My mods are intake , a programmer tuner , straight pipes , big tip and that's it ,
Looking to make my truck a bit quicker , now its at 13 psi
Stock turbo stock wastegate , I heard I can make more boost out of the stock wastegate , if so can some1 tell me how ! Don't wanna change my turbo , maybe if needed I can buy the BIG HEAD wastegate from banks , anyone here had or have it , any thos? Just want to make my truck a lil faster without hurting the engine or transmission ? Thankx

Again Idk much about this trucks but I don't think there is leaks because it spike and hold 13. maybe the gauge is bad. will get a new one on Monday

Sounds like my have a leak at your up pipes or a loose IC boot somewhere with that PSI.

Check all the boots and make sure none are loose...then get a flashlight and look at them up pipes and see if there is soot near the flanges.

I will do that, anything I can do to the stock wga for more psi? My goal is 30 psi

Mine had the same problem when I bought it. Up pipes were shot. Once I replaced them and got my boost in the 20s she got up and went like a new pony. With a programmer you should be getting some turbo surge at heavy acceleration. Just unplug your airline that connects to the wastegate and see if that helps at all first.

If your not wanting a turbo swap I would just recommend a new wicked wheel....no real gains in HP but you will get better response in the low end and it will eliminate turbo surge.

I've seen a few guys swap to the new WW2 and say that's the cats meow for a stock turbo...I don't have any personal experience with it.

I was thinkin on buy the big head and the turbo wheel, hope that helps nd get me to my goal

If you get the wheel you wont need the big head. If you stick with stock wheel then you will. 30 is possible but until you find the leak your not going to be able to get to it.
