Camshat sensor recall

Mine is at the Dealer today to get the CPS swapped out. Unfortunately, my was stalling out on deceleration and they say that is one of the big symptoms. Hopefully this will fix it.

How long ago did this recall come out? Had mine changed out when it went bad about 8-10mos ago.

Coupla weeks ago is when my Dealer started doin em.

Hmm...wonder if I should go have it checked just for the heck of it. What the heck, its free right?

ya there going to do mine but did u keep your old one for a spare incase the new ones goes out.

NO they have to send it in.

i had to call for so they can send me a letter so they will replace it and they said i can keep the old one

I went in to Ford today and told them that I needed my truck and did not have time to leave it with them and they just gave me the new CPS. They gave me two, one for my 2000 and one for my 2003 7.3, they also said I should run my old ones until I have a problem and just leave the new ones in my glove box until the need arises. They also said that if I have changed mine in the past I may very well have the updated ones but you can not tell if they are new or old just by looking at them.
