IC boots question
I'm going to change all CAC boots, but my question is about the IC boots.
My 2000 F350 7.3l has the stock IC. The boots offered on the internet are either 3"x3" or 3"x3.25". I heard to get the right measurement of the boots, I'll have to remove the boots and flip them 180* to see if its the same fit (3"x3") or not (3"x3.25"). Does anyone know the right size of the IC boots for the stock IC? Thanks |

There are two possible sizes, that is why they tell you to measure

yup, pulled a gomer move here. Without removing the boots, i measured the ic tubes only, and not knowing the "flared" end, hiding within the boot. I ordered the 3x3, but need the 3.25...stock IC here too, all aluminum/aluminum endcaps.

I actually just measured mine today. The stockers were 3.25 x 3.00. Of course the 3.25 is connected to the intercooler.
FYI mine is a 02 F-350 7.3, so I'm not sure how your's will compare to your 2000. (I would think it would be the same, but who knows) |

Pulled my IC boots off today, did the 180* flip. Also measured the boots with a ruler. I found the boots to be 3"x3.25" for my 2000.
Thanks for the info Zaairman, timmyboy76, and mesarber. |
