blocker beam

As far as I have been told our trucks have a blocker beam up front to prevent cars from sliding under it. Mine was removed to install a snowplow frame on it, but I have gotten rid of the frame and now don't have the blocker beam to put back on the truck. Does this beam provide any other support to the truck other then its intended purpose. A few people told me that without it on the truck frame is prone to cracking and I should really get one back on there? Any insights? Also does anyone have any pics of their beams just so i know what im exactly talking about?

a Boss V-plow was mounted on it but has since been removed. This beam needs to come off when mounting a plow frame to the truck so i am just wondering if this beam needs to be put back on the truck since the plow setup is off. Just need to know if this beam provides any structural integrity to the truck or if I am fine without it?

if it's what i'm thinking it's that piece of 2' tubing mounted behind the bumper valance. Whether it serves to stiffen the frame or not????? I don't know

I looked over my engine removal pics and don't see anything but the beam the power steering cooler mounts to. Shutterfly | Slideshow

Really nobody has this? My buddy told me when he took his off to mount his plow frame that it mounted to the bolts right over the spring with the spring actually going through it and then dropped down and crossed over to the other side. It also has some of those plastic pop in things going across the bar that look like they might have held on some type of valance at one time. Guess I dont really have to worry about it then
