Keyless entry and remote start

Santa brought me a keyless entry with remote start for my truck, I have power door locks and was wondering how hard it will be to install and if anyone has any ideas or suggestions or advice. THanks Merry Christmas!

I installed mine a few years ago, it wasn’t real bad, just have to be patient. The wiring instructions that came with mine had a few color discrepancies, I used the instructions along with my wiring diagrams from my service manual and installed it in about 4 hours. It was a little tricky to program. You need a good soldering iron and lots of heat shrink and/or black tape. As best I can remember all the wires you need are under the steering column except the two door locks wires which I found behind the glove box. Mine was one of the $40 ones from eBay, I didn’t install the alarm part but the starter and keyless entry works from 1,000 feet. Only problems I have had is the internal parking light relay quit working and every once in a while the remotes quit working and I have to reset them, takes about 2 minutes.

yes I agree the wires are intimadating.. but ive got no rush and a heated shop to do the work in, ive never been acused of having patients soo that could be a bad thing, and the programing is a big concern of mine, due to diesel... also there is no alarm either dont really care for one, just locks and starter. I wonder what a shop would charge to install it?
