the idling is almost to were the truck wants to die out, once your driving its fine accelration and cruising with no problem, but once u stop and let it idle, it ildes down under 500 rpm

This could be related to anything from your CPS to high pressure oil pump to the ICP to fuel/fuel pump (a likely culprit).

Start at the fuel filter (located pretty much top dead center of the engine) as it may be clogged. From there, take a look at the fuel pump (common problem) which is on the frame under the drivers side. Take notice if it is making any unusual noise (ie loud whine or buzzing).

This organization has a wealth of information and great folks that makes owning these older trucks a pleasurable experience. If anything is wrong, you can find the answer here on how to fix it. If you can't find anything through the website search application, ask and the answer will be presented sooner or later.

Maybe somebody else will offer up more immediate advice but in the mean time, give that a shot and see what happens
