oil dipstick

The handle broke off my oil dipstick on my e99 7.3

I'm kinda having a hard time locating a replacement one, all searches bring up for me are repair kits and related articles for where the dipstick enters the oil pan, which is not what I need.

Try a junkyard? I hope you can remove the remainder of the dipstick before it drops into the pan.

Check Tousley Ford Parts Depot under engine/engine parts. Looks like they call it the level indicator for $21. Hope this helps! I have bought stuff from them before and they seem to have the best prices on oem parts. Pretty fast shipping too.

The motor is out and the pan is off. I must have hit it against something while removing the engine. There is NEVER a powerstroke in the local bones yards.

Can you put the handle back on with a two part epoxy? Probably better to find a new one, but I try to redneck stuff back together every now and then.

I tried a plastic 2 part epoxy, it didn't take.
