Hey Gazer. I've told people several times that getting a chip will do good, but it will do wonderful if you get an intake (AFE buddy..all the way) and an exhaust kit. It'll allow your chip to perform to the level of power it was programmed for. The AFE is the best out there, so of course it's not real cheap. However talk to SRDIESELSCOTT on here or go to his website and get the number to his shop. He's got a shop south of Indy and can give you a better deal as a member of the forum. Most of the exhaust kits out there are 4"+ and come with or without cats, and straight thru mufflers. Both products are tried and true to reduce your exhaust gas temperature by a whole lot more than you might think. As many as close to a couple hundred degrees. I like Banks, but they're pricey. I bought a Magnaflow stainless turbo-back for 410 at the Indy diesel show last June. It fit perfect and sounds tremendously awesome. It seems to sound very similar to my buddy's banks equipped truck but a little throatier and clean. As for guages, I towed a small 5x10 enclosed trailer empty from Indy to St. Louis and loaded on the way back without guages. I only did it because each time we drove well into the night and temps were close to 0 which greatly help reduce crucial temps. I still don't have guages, but i'm not very all out hard on my truck and I don't tow. I'll get them when money allows me to. Also the TS chips are among the best out there. I'm running their 6 position chip which I keep on the 50 or 75hp 95% of the time.
