Cab Light Issue...

Guys,

Have a weird cab light issue that I'd like some input on. I have one cablight that is acting a bit weird. The light shines VERY dim. I've tried two new bulbs, and when first installed they will shine the same as the rest, but within a day, start shining VERY dim, almost to the point of not being on. Any thoughts? Anyone know off the top of their head what the proper voltage I should be seeing at the bulb socket? Thanks.

I'm not 100% sure, but it sounds like a possible ground problem, what do you think guys? I know on some of my stuff, I'll have one light a little dim, and if I back the screws out and put them back in, it will create a better ground. hope that helps, I'm sure there will be other ideas too.

I'm thinking bad ground as well. Dunno if I'll get to it today, but I'm planning to pull the cover and bulb and just have a good look at the socket. Maybe try to clean the contacts in the socket with a stiff wire brush to remove any possible corrosion or oxidation and see if that fixes it.

On some of the smaller stuff like that, I have found that a fingernail file works pretty good to shine up the connections if they have that corrosion on them. let us know what you find out!
