did i do it wrong?

alright guys school me. my truck 2001 srw f350 4x4 lariat has two alternators. i replaced the passenger side battery ground wire. the original on goes down to the alternator. the new one was to short so i grounded it to the fire wall just behind ac. now my starter is dragging and making it hard to start. did i mess up? thanks i know somebody here knows.

Makes sure yer bat cables get hooked back up to original locations. Starters draw huge amps so bat cables need to be grounded to motor block otherwise yer putting that huge load on small body bonding straps... they WILL burn up under such a load. Fix this asap before you create bigger problems if you havent already.

batt cables need to go to the block....Like ^ said I'd not start it before fixing...
