Cleaned the EBP tube!
Just wanted to post my results... wow not sure if it's all I'm my head our not but what a difference! I've even driven it a few days now and still think it's way better. I hope I see the mpg gain that folks have motioned too. It cleared up my idle a bit, truck pulls harder when I accelerate. I cleaned it long ago when I first bought the truck but it had plugged back up over the last 4 years. Mine was plugged only at the connection up top, the rest of the tube seemed clean -I made sure with a piece of wire. So if you've lost some power and mpg and can't figure it out, take a look at your EBP tube and sensor. Welcome to guzzle's Exhaust Backpressure Sensor Cleaning Maintenance Web Page
Hope this helps someone! Scott P |

This post motivated me to do mine. Took about an hour, it was super easy and definitely full of crud. Glad I did it.

I can't get mine off at the exhaust manifold. It acts like it is stripped. Anyone else had this problem?

I may have to do this on both my rigs soon - I haven't done it personally, but the previous owner supposedly did it on the '00 not too long ago.
