Who run DDM HID with DP Tuner.
Got the F250 about year ago and it already had DP Tuner in it. So I installed HID and it ran fine. Several months ago truck ran weird and it will shut off itself. Also when it running and turned on the lights, truck acting like want to die. So I took them off and put regular ones back on and ran perfect. Didn't die.
Last month I installed 05 Harley headlights and no longer use 9007. Now 9008. I have DDM HID n my wife's Expedition and love it. I miss HID so was thinking maybe try buy DDM HID for my 2002 F250. My old 9007 was not DDM brand. So I want to see who run DDM HID with DP Tuner and if there was a problem or not. Didn't want to waste my time and money. If anybody have advice, feel free to share. Thanks! |

I have heard of a few issues with DP tuners and HIDs. Apparently it is linked back to the ballasts and the electrical impulses they emit. Causes interference with the tuner and causes all sorts of problems. Some people have no issues what so ever. People have found that using ferrite beads on the wiring will help resolve the issue if you do experience it though. Hope I helped you out

Ok so if I use ferrite beads and put it on the DP Tuner cable wire from the switch to PCM?

From what I understand this is all you have to do. You can find a couple of threads about it on here, and a few websites on where to buy some. I am pretty sure they are real cheap. If you want to go overboard with it though you can put them on all the cables from the tuner and the HIDs and eliminate all the variables.
