fuel mileage

Ok I cant stand it anymore, I have a 2002 ford f250 4x4 supercab long bed with 285 75 16 tires and I am averaging 13.3 to 13.7. this is manually calculating. I have only had the truck for 2 months and it has always got poor mileage. Also the warm up valve is unplugged any ideas to get better mileage or things to check to get better mileage would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest getting an AIS intake setup get some exhaust, gauges and then a custom chip. You probably should make sure that all filters have been changed and tires are aired up properly and make sure that the alignment is correct. Of course the best thing is to adjust driving style, which you probably have already done. Hope this helps.

I agree with that^^^^^^ I must admit though I dont know too much about the 7.3s but with my 6.0 after I lifted it I felt like I was driving my V10 again. Literally V10 miles to a gallon lol...I cleared that all up with a oil change, fuel filters, that new water/fuel separator thing and REtune to something more everyday friendly..Im back to like 15-16 and Im running 35s..Im way happier now

get a handshaker? seriously though clean all filters, fuel, air, oil, change oil with synthetic ( i assume its broke in), if you want you can even change diff. fluids to full synthetic, and depending on how many miles the tranny. I don't believe in changing tranny fluid after 60K miles.
