How to burn out?

How do people burn out and keep the tires spinning, I can get them going but it seems like my tranny will just shift in a high gear and they will want to stop so i just realease is this a power issue or should i leave it in first or second gear. I dont do it often cause tires and fuel areent cheap but when i do i want to white out the road.

hold the breaks and the gas at the same time. If it shifts and stops spinning its a lack of power. upgrade to a custom burned chip. insted of the hypertech

just roll into the trottle, i dont think lack of power is the issue, i could burn out completely stock

id just roll into it and let it go through the gears and proggresively increase the trottle pressure

i second the opinion on lose the hypertech and get a chip ive got an 02 7.3 was running hypertech on the top setting 100hp stacked with a banks 6gun 62hp ditched those and got a chip from jody at dp tuner and on its lowest setting 60hp it flat out smokes what the 2 i had stacked would do on their best day and when i turn it up to the 120 setting and stand on it it breaks the tires lose on the 2nd and 3rd gear shifts and screams has a 140 setting as well and the best part i ebayed the hypertech and the 6gun and that paid for the chip plus had $70 left over and im getting better mileage useing the 80hp econo setting !!
