quadzilla commander/xzillarator help

i just installed the commander/xzillarator combo part# FXZ73-CM on my earily99. the module works fine by itself with its own controller but when plugged into the commander the led on the module flashes orange the whole time and all the parameters are off on the commander, shows boost 24psi trans temp 205, egt 700, ect. when truck is at idle, with key on engine off boost is at 14 and egt 400

also the commander doesnt turn on when the bypass plug is in place of the module

i cant figure out whats goin on any suggestions

the 4 pin connector from module has 4 wires, but the 4pin connector going to the commander only has 2 wires, is this right, i am guessing this is just because the commander is self powered and the digital controler for the module isnt so the other 2 are power and ground for that

thanks in advance, i'd like to get this working and not have to wait till monday to try tech support
