Traitor!!! Wimps turn to the dark side.....J/K...

The cummins bolts into the 99-03 easier than the OBS due to the engine compartment depth, front to back. Think about it, the OBS is tough putting in a 3" DP and the SD putting in a 4" DP is a piece of cake. With a cummins you need all the clearance you can get. That engine is long and your turbo and DP are on the passenger side right where the evap box is.

Just a thought, Bean has done a few using destroked parts, might be worth a call to him for pointers.

cummins swap

If you are gong to do that I would go with the 12 valve. The 91, 92, 93 is the motor of choice if you are looking for speed. They come from the factory with a gnarley cam already. (The tranny has a better input shaft also....High horsepower will pop the input shafts when you hit lockup...)The downfall is the pump sucks on them. If you can find that motor and put a P Pump on it you are in buisness. The dark side is much cheaper to hop up. I am new to the psd market but know ALOT about the 12 valves. If you have any questions....just lemme know.

I have been thinking the same thing, I found a nice donor truck for 3 grand, and my motor only has 108000, I wonder how much the kit to put it in is and how much I could sell my motor for....
