switching to rotella syn a couple of ?
I have an 01 F-250 PSD right at 120k on the ticker that I bought about a month ago. I have no idea what Kind of oil is being ran in it right now But I am going to assume its dino oil.
So what if anything else should i do when i switch to rotella 5-40 synthetic? Do i need to change my filter more often for awhile? Am I going to run into an issue with leaks due to the synthetic being thinnner? for a filter I will prob run nampa gold unless you guys have better options. (not fram) What say the folks who know? |

No need to do anything special for the change to synthetic. What i would reccomend is an oil analysis. to check on wear metals, and where you could be with drain intervals
