Contribution test help

I was wondering if someone could explain what a contribution test... tests and whatever else it does I need to do one I think I have possibly a bad oring or injector but I was looking for the technical side of what the test is looking for thanks

I have an AE, I am pretty novice user but from what i understand it shuts down certain injectors down one at a time. This allows the AE to read if that Injector is properly contributing power or not. Hope this helps, if i am wrong somebody correct me. Also search AE there is alot of useful info.
