It's about time they recalled it. Seemed like you just knew it was coming, was just a matter of time.

A few mos back I had mine replaced after it failed. Service manager tried telling me my programmer had something to do with it and he also told me it was my comp that was fried. I knew better. Later he told me they replaced both while they were in there. Should I bother bringin it back in? And if so should I remove my evo?

Any time that you take your truck in for dealer service you should remove any aftermarket engine tuning. It's so easy to detune there's almost no excuse not to, unless you're running a bunch of aftermarket hard parts. Exhausts and intakes should have no effect on the engine's warranty so if you have those mods don't worry too much....if they give you any crap just hold your ground. The cam sensor has been a plague to the 7.3 for a long, long time......there should really be no excuses in regards to replacing it....

if they put a gray one in....just take it in for the inspection and be done with it.....if its still a black one...they will need to put a gray one in. If they didnt care about your EVO before......then you probably dont need to worry bout takin in out...if you took it out then...take it out now...

Thumbs up Mine is listed also

Thank you for the heads up guy's. I just checked the link that was posted and mine came up on the list. I replaced mine with a $90.00 black one this summer and I still have the paper work. Is there anyway to get a kick back from the dealer??? Or will they just put in a gray one and look it over. I have a gray one in the glove box HA!!!!!!!! (Marc looks out for all of us ) Thanks again.
