Has anyone put there truck on a dyno

I dnt know much about the dyno machines and dnt know if i still have to go with my 3rd setting or can i put it on my 4,120 or 5,140 setting on a dyno???

I cant see any reason why you wouldnt be able to unless you cant keep the egt's down long enough to do a 140 hp run.

I ran my truck recently and went stock, 75hp, and 140hp settings. Everything was fine. You can change settings to whatever you want.

so the dyno doesnt put as much stress on your tranny like cement does.

I would hope not. if so id rather drop it out on the dyno than drag racing a honda. that would be more embarasing.

it should only stress your tranny about as much as a heavy trailer as long as your dyno guy knows what hes doing.

just so i know if i put my truck on a dyno machine i could run it on my hottes setting wich would be 140hp on my dp with my stock tranny and mostly stock engine i should be worried at all.

I see you have gauges and i assume one of them is a pyrometer so just keep tabs of your EGT's. If it get's too hot just cut it off. But i really don't think you'll have any problems. A pull only lasts like 5 seconds at WOT.
