My 2000 is finally running! After 1-1/2 months of hair pulling (and engine pulling) the truck is on the road. Once the sensor/electronic issues were cleared up, the mechanicals were tackled. Turned out the #7 piston had fragged rings, and one ring was stuck to the piston. There was a bit of wear on 7, but according to the machine shop, was within spec to use standard parts. So, new rings and bearings and threw it back in. The only setback was a small oil leak at the back of the pan, which was cured with a supplemental dose of RTV.

It hasnt been there 3 months though, Its been there about a week. In September, I took a little trip to Durango Co. On the way back, I got pulled over for doing 10 over at 2am. The azz hat cop ran my licence and said it came back denied. I lost it early 06 and got it back in September 07. They said it got denied Dec 25, 2006. WTF? I never got pulled over since I got it back. I also didnt have my proof of insurance. He tried to take me to jail in a little town 300 miles away from my house. After a lot of haggeling, I talked him into letting me stay at a hotel and letting AAA tow my truck to the Hotel(wouldent let me drive it there because of the insurance problem). I got home and called the Insurance co and they sent me the new proof that I had Insurance at the time. Then I went to the state to see WTF was up with my licence, NOTHING. It was all legit!..

So I drove a total of 10 hours to go to court, I WAS IN THE COURT HOUSE FOR LESS THEN 10 MIN! They through it out because I had all my ducks in a row! During the waiting time, I started workin on the truck thinking I had lost my licence again and wouldnt be able to drive it.. I thought it would be a good time to do a few little upgrades. So I just took it to him and started driving my old Chebby ... I will get it back at the end of this week!!!!! SORRY FOR THE STORY. YOU ASKED FOR IT!
