Good price for this truck?

1997 F-350 Crew Cab, Diesel, XLT

Here it is. The exact one I have been looking for and it even has the red interior. I have never owned a diesel before and want to be sure that I don't just impulse buy like my last vehicle. From the info he has it appears to be pretty good, except I don't see anything about injectors.

I will try to give him a call later today and get some more info, so what should I ask him about that already isn't there? The truck is a pretty good distance from where I live so I want to make sure from what I gather that it isn't a turd and I waste my money going down there.

One thing I noticed from the two pictures of the sides is that there are some fairly small dents to the bed of the truck. Not sure if it is a big deal or not, but it seems odd that on the drivers side of the truck that the bottom of the rear bed has been bent upwards about 6 inches. I also noticed on the front side passenger door that the molding on the door is missing.

The truck books for 9700k on NADA and 8500k on KBB. I am wondering if he is low balling the price on it for some reason.

I saw Drummond and was like WTF?! I'm in Montana! I've looked at this truck on CL before!

I think its a decent price if the mileage is correct and the truck is in sound shape. I'm sure he'd move on it some, being that he says he NEEDS to sell it. I'm willing to bet if you threw $7K at him, he'd take it.

Lol, I have been though Drummond in the past and it has been one of the smallest towns I have ever seen, next to some places near the border. Also, I just noticed a second fuel door. I am not familiar with Fords, but do they have auxilary tanks?

A lot of the OBS style trucks do have dual tank setups. We used to have one for a work truck and it had the auxiliary tank as well.
