Nice looking rig!
I personally wouldn't own a black one (107 degrees here today) but it's nice looking.

well, I'm still shopping..

still shopping, and the options have changed a bit for me... now I'm looking at this truck:

Bed Extras: Bedliner, Cylinders: 8, Drivetrain: 4-Wheel drive, Engine Type: V8 7.3L Turbo Diesel, Fuel Type: Diesel, Seating Material: Cloth, Sound System: AM/FM Cassette/Cd, Transmission Type: 4 spd.automatic/od, Vehicle Status: Previously Owned, Wheels: Alloy, 4WD, ABS (4-Wheel), Air Conditioning, AM/FM Stereo, Bed Liner, Cruise Control, Custom Bumper, Ovrsize Off-Rd Tires, Power Door Locks, Power Steering, Power Windows, Premium Sound, Premium Wheels, Single Compact Disc, Sliding Rear Window, Tilt Wheel, Towing Pkg, XLT,This F350(1 ton) non-dually Xcab 4x4 diesel longbed runs and looks great. It has a recent remanufactured transmission.

Auto transmission is still under a 3yr warantee, mileage is 164K and cost is 13K
Main differences are that this one is a F350 4x4 and autotranny. Pluses in my book.

As for checking the resistance of the glowplugs. I'm interested in doing this check, could anyone post the proper resistance range, and a picture of the connector I need to hook my ohmmeter to?

also should be known that I'm seriously wanting to switch from bio-D to WVO with a proper conversion kit.
thanks all!

Only $13K huh? I looked it up on KBB just for fun and suggested retail is $16K. Hmmmm. Nice looking truck!

Still Shopping!
I've been really putting the effort into finding the RIGHT one.

I've noticed two of the trucks I've looked at have had malfunctioning power mirrors, one also had a battery drani problem, and another had a non functioning power door locks, and cruise control.

Is this a common occurence? Are electrics an issue with these?

If its just one of the quirks of these trucks (99-01) I can deal with it. Otherwise I'll still be seeing it as neglectful previous ownership and I'll continue to shy away.

One truck that is in the running is a '99 250 automatic with only 67k (a lot less than the ones I've been seeing). It's primary purpose was hauling one of those big 5th wheel rv's. What do I look for as far as towing abuse? (I use my trucks for work, not ususally towing, so I'm green here).

My 2000 has 135K on it and i have not had ANY electrical or mechanical problems. You can't help but wonder if some of the "flood trucks" are hitting the dealerships:rain:
Good luck in your continued search!
