Adjusting waste gate
Is there any benefits to adjust your WG? I.E. faster spool or increase peak boost. Will it hurt the turbo on engine if adjusted? Currently my WG is fully open between 9-10psi and I'm at peak boost 24-26psi.
Im asking because I have a buddy with a 12v cummins that said after he disconnected his WG he peak boosted 38psi.I dont believe much that he says cause like every cummins owner I've ment he has unrealistic hp+tq and, gets 35 miles a gallon

Don't know anything about disconnecting WG's. But them Dodge's can make some serious boost. My '06 made 32-33 psi with just a tuner.
I've had 3 PSD's and 2 Cummins, none of which got over 18 mpg's consistently. I wish I knew what they're doing to get that kind of mileage! |
