OK, this may be a dumb question, but I was looking at my belt when I put in a new thermostat the other day and was wondering how to change the belt out without losing a bunch of coolant? It' doesn't need to be changed since it appears to be in good shape, I'm just curious.
thanks! |

Change the upper radiator hose out to the ambulance hose or the Napa prefered hose, they are the same. That particular hose is routed around the belt instead of through it.

He beet me again, lol!! This is Ferd's brillant engineering dept hard at work. The fix as already said is to purchase the hose for a dual alt set-up and it will go around the belt. I will say if proper maintenance is done the chance of breaking a modern serpentine belt is quite rare.

I didn't think to ask before I took it off to replace the thermostat. Thanks for the answers!
