new clutch help

i am gettin ready 2 replace the clutch in in 00 7.3 replacing it with a south bend confe its a 4wd 6sp never changed one in a 7.3 didnt no if u guys have any hints or and things 2 watch out for or any know complications that come with the job thanks for the help

Make sure you have a healthy tranny jack...those ZF6's are heavy. Be careful of the cooler lines. Have someone handy to help you handle the pp in and out. Other than the fact that everything is way bigger than normal stuff, its pretty much like any other clutch replacement. Did mine a couple of months ago. Mine is 2wd though, maybe someone with 4wd will chime in and add anything that i may not know about...Rod

I agree a good trans jack and a second set of hands will help out a lot.

pretty easy job. I did it myself in about 6 hrs.
