You would have to read the laws for Mass. Also do they inspect the cat when you have emissions test done. If so you would need the cat inplace for the test. Some members here get the cat delete pipe. Then when they have to get the emissions test done they just install the cat for the test. After they pass the test they go home and swap out the cat for the delete pipe again.

Yea that guy i go to for one is old and he doesnt check s**t

if you do delete it make sure you keep it so you can swap it back if needed. dont gut it, get a delete pipe.

I wouldn't do this, but I don't have a CAT from the factory, lol!! It won't be long all states will require even the diesels to pass a emissions test. They are suppose to do a visual inspection of all components, for that part it will depend on the shop. The ones down here have gotten a lot tougher on things like tinted windows. The state has people going around trying to get cars to pass that should fail, and if they get passed it is a huge fine, and two of them they loose their inspection status. You can't get away with what you use to. If you do do this make sure you save it, because you will need it again.

Yea i have changed my mind about it and i am not going to do it.
just to be safe and i dont want to have to put the cat back in all the time to get a sticker.
