7.3 Mods
I have a bone stock 7.3 F250 4x4 and I wanting to start some mods for better mileage and mild power gains. This is a daily driver so Im not looking for crazy HP just something to have a little fun with. What's the best order in which to start modding and any particular brands to look at?

Soooo many threads regarding this topic if you give a little search. Simply enough though, Intake, tune and exhaust. Want to go the cheaper route but still effective get a napa 6637 intake, muffler delete and tuner or chip of choice and whamo you have yourself a quick truck. But of course if your funds can support you can get an nice afe intake, custom tunes and a 4 inch turbo back exhaust. But in either case you need to get yourself a set of guages to monitor your truck. Give it a search and find everything of your choice and if you have any questions feel free to ask, got a lot of knowledgeable folks on here with every setup imaginable.

Most exhaust will all be the same if they are the same kind(stainless or aluminized). And without a muffler all them will sound the same on your truck. 4 inch has its own sound, 5 inch a little bit deeper....
But yeah, def get guages or a monitor of some sort.....and then get a flip chip with tuning on it from either tony wildman at total diesel performance, beans diesel or you can get the hydra chip from PHP...I have it and I LOVE it....you get access to all the tuning files bill at PHP has, and can burn one, two, or all of them to your chip in any order.....and then you can change them to your liking....don't like one, swap it out for another.....trust me when I say, THIS is the way to go.... |

. But I have heard it on other trucks and it deffinitly is loud when you are outside the truck or in a tunnel and are mashing the throttle but other wise it is pretty nice. Windows up and it is quiet actually and with them down it is just right in my opinion. They got some decent videos on youtube also.

I've been reading a lot of reviews and for the money the S&B seemed to be the best. AFEs looked good but for the money S&B seemed to suit me better
