Climate control switch not working

Presently it will only blow air out the defrost & the vent. It blows out both at the same time. No matter what setting I put it on this is what I get. Have no idea how to trouble shoot this problem. Is it most likely the switch?? If so where is the best/cheapest place to buy one? Or should be junkyard hopping??

Any help is greatly appriciated>

What I do know is that its controlled by vacuum as to where it blows from. So your problem could be in the vacuum system. I would start with the switch as its a lot easier to try that. I think the local parts houses have them. If you cant find one, I have one laying in the garage that id sell you. Shoot me a PM if youre interested.

Well the vacuum pump was bad so I ordered a new one. Installed it yesterday & it is working but air still only blows through the defrost & vents.

What else could be going on here??

Check the vacuum lines. I think they come in near the passenger side floor. See if a line got disconnected.

Open your glove box and release the stops so it will fold forward. Check to see that the lever on the left side is not being hindered by something that may be in the way.

Climate control switch not working

I found my issue. A squirl found its way under my hood and figured it would chew chew chew.

Rewired all that I noticed being chewed replaced all chewed vacuum lines and now I need to find out why the windshield squirters still won't work.

More disassembly required.

Thanks all!

Climate control switch not working

That is a great use for a clay launcher. I am resorting to a .22 for revenge.
