Theifs 0 hotairgypsy 1....i win but need some help now

So i go out to dinner for my birthday and while in the restaraunt they try and steal my truck...well ya not going to get the truck of a former alarm installer...BUT...now i have some damage...they blew up the passenger door handle stuff and broke the ignition.

well i have to replace the handles on the doors and the ignition so what all do you suggest to go with to improve on the design it came with.

thanks all

Sorry to hear about your damage.

Would you credit your Ravelco as to being the main reason the did not steal your truck?

May want to get Jimmy Jammers. I want to install a set on my truck.

Other than that...have fun.

Tell the wife they ruined your injectors/turbo and you need to get upgraded stuff.

Good luck

the ravelco didn't play a factor since i didn't pull that key...been lazy since i had the primary alarm. I am thinking about the jimmy jammers but i keep thinking about if they are breaking in and are unsuccessful going through the ignition they are going to take out my window...so may be betting for me to just do stock parts to keep the cost of repair down if it happens again. I just replaced the injectors last week. so just want to drive it and enjoy it now i have more repair to do .

I don't know what your comp deductible is but are you going to just pay it out of pocket or have your insurance company chip in their part?

i have a 250 deductible but I am not going to claim anything. I can fix it for under 100 and would rather not have anyone other than me touching my truck...

The only way I see to try and deter the thieves would be an exterior proximity sensor. However, if they want in, they'll get in no matter what. Nothing full proof though

Mine was broken into last Friday morning. Second time in 6 months. Last time they were able to open sliding rear glass. No breakage...but they stole everything that wasn't bolted down. This time they broke my passenger door glass and didn't take anything that I've noticed. Gotta love living in town... $200 later
