Factory radio with no display

Hi guys,
My 99 has a factory radio with cd and cass. The display is out, no clock, won't display radio freq,etc. Is there a fix for this beyond replacing the whole unit. I've read some post about some crazy radio behavior. Maybe an aftermarket unit is a good long term solution.

I replied to your other post too regarding the samething. Your display is shorted out and you need to replace the radio. They can be found in the for sale secton for around $100. Good Luck
