Question got a ?

how can you tell a early 99 vs. a late 99. also, what sets them apart? whats different about them? did change something? another ? how much does a 99 ford f350 w/ a diesel and an auto tranny go for? xlt, ex. cab long bed or short bed?

right now the prices for those trucks are going from about 15-19k depending on milage and condition etc.

ill this up for you Im tryin to member the specifics between the early and late 99 my my brains not working.

well if you know what the obs turbo looks like the early 99 has the same turbo as the obs.

then I think that trucks manufactured after april 99 are the late 99's but well wait and have some one else confirm the build dates

You can not be more incorrect about the turbo! The OBS turbo was non wastegated and was a flange mount. The early99 was a "V" band mount and the early99 is wastegated.

The OBS intake plenums and the early 99 intake plenums are the same, 2".

Some of the very early99 trucks have the powerstroke badge on the front fender and the other early99, like mine, have the badges on the door. If you can fit your fist between the turbo and the cowling it is an early99. IF you can barely fit your flat hand between the turbo and the cowling you have a late99.
