#1294 = High side open bank No. 2 (left)
#1293 = High side open bank No. 1 (right) #1275 = High to low side open cyl. # 1-8 I would say IDM or you harness. I would definetly start with the UVC Harness. You may find some burnt pins, if you need a new harness go to a IH dealer they are only $27 there and well over $100 at Ferd. |

Ok pulled drivers side valve cover no signs of lose connections or bare wires one pin a little dark. Im going to pull passenger side tonight. Getting my uvc harness from IH saved 120.00 thanks Hornet 21.00 each. Should i go ahead and change the injector orings while im there and what does it take to do that called ford said there is 7 orings per injector 17.00 per injector sound right. Also does the 1275 #5 open code go along with the 1293,and 1294 Has anyone had any trouble reuseing the reuseable valve cover gaskets mine look fine. Thanks everyone.

I am going to get yelled at for this. But my prefrence is to replace all gaskets when I tear something down. That is my preference. Alot of techs on here say go ahead and reuse them they are designed for that.
I aggree start with the UVC a bad connection or broken wire with in the UVC can cause the problems you are having. I suggest you start there. Being it is the cheapest repair there is. Plus you already got the new parts for this repair. As for the O-rings if they are not leaking why mess with them. I understand the idea of replacing them since you have the valve covers off. But I would be replacing the glowplugs before the injector o-rings. |

you wont find any burnt harness on 99 model, need to look at harness , make sure connected clear codes and rerun an injector buzz test, you still may have an idm problem, but eliminate harnesses first
